Ukraine’s cooperation with partners of NATO in terms of current challenges to international stability and security of the State (2014-2016)

Abstract

Ukraine’s modern security challenges fully proved no future viability of the concept of non-alignment. The policy of multivector foreign policy and military tactics observance of political neutrality has expediency only small European countries (Austria, Ireland, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland) are surrounded by enough peaceful neighbors. However, in the twentieth century the largest country in the world – Russian Federation started to show openly expansionist policy. Not only because of the illegal annexation of Crimea, Ukrainian, deployment of military operations in eastern Ukraine, disregard sovereignty and inviolability of borders, Russia is destroying the global system of security that was founded after the Second World War. Moreover, Russia has been discredited concept of nuclear disarmament and voluntary renunciation of weapons of this type. Ukraine's cooperation with NATO partner countries has great potential. Most threats are clearly identified as a North Atlantic alliance, and Ukraine. A particular danger in Europe is the Russian Federation which is direct military aggression against Ukraine. Suffice it is not friendly policies and against the Baltic States. All this leads to a pile containment strategy review, which adheres to NATO. It should be emphasized that the main allies of Ukraine among NATO members Poland and Lithuania is that practical actions have shown their interest in deepening military and political cooperation with Ukraine. Eastern Europe have undergone a radical reassessment of threats and challenges is changing military doctrines of NATO in 2014-2016. At the same time Ukraine is a key country in Eastern Europe in the process of building a European security and countering contemporary challenges to international stability.
