Ukrainian Chumak Life as Tourist Resource: Regional and Logistical Dimension

Abstract
Summary. In the article disclosed significanse of Ukrainian chumak life as a resource for the development of tourism in Ukraine. Article material deals with the logistical and geographical features of chumak life in Ukraine as a socio-economic phenomenon, which for centuries was changing from the features of the warrior-merchant, merchant intermediary between producer and consumer, and finally to freight-forwarder – with their ethno-cultural characteristics. The author refers to the works of Ukrainian and foreign scientists I.Rudchenko, F.Scherbyna, Novoselskiy, A.Rusov, P.Ryabkov and others.
