UKRAINIAN NATIONAL LIBERATION MOVEMENT IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR IN THE ENCYCLOPEDIC EDITION (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE OUN AND UPA)

Abstract
The Ukrainian national liberation movement during the Second World War was analyzed. The main attention is focused on the analysis of the specifics of the coverage of the OUN and UPA in encyclopaedic editions. The changes in the vectors of coverage of the national liberation movement in the historical literature are revealed. Changes in the representation of basic information in encyclopaedic format projects have been traced. The emphasis is placed on the specifics of the presentation of the material in slogans devoted to OUN and UPA. The example of the analyzed slogans gives the opportunity to understand the process of scientific reconstruction of the general canvas of the historical process, the socio-political context and the separate aspects of the autonomous movement in various encyclopaedic formats. On the basis of articles contained in encyclopaedic projects, the achievements and future prospects of coverage of the national liberation movement in the encyclopaedic format are described. The cultivated array allows, in addition to analysis and broad statements, to identify and problematic vectors of coverage of the liberation movement by encyclopedic publications that need to be addressed by modern historical science, taking into account the public interest and the demands of the state.
