Journal Title: Prohominum - Year 2024, Vol 6, Issue 4

Abstract

The primary aim of the study titled “Urban Planning in the Management of Land Use Planning in a District of Metropolitan Lima 2023” is to examine the impact of urban planning on land use management within a district of Lima. The research used a quantitative methodology, using a non-experimental design that was both basic and cross-sectional. The entire population was 276,562 persons, with a sample size of 384 individuals from the district of Chorrillos. A systematic questionnaire including 30 questions for urban planning and 33 items for land use management was used. The data were analyzed using technologies such as Excel and SPSS. The findings indicated that urban design substantially affects land management, exhibiting a strong link across territorial, temporal, and environmental aspects. The implementation of territorial planning techniques in the district of Chorrillos is inadequate, resulting in disordered land occupancy and insufficient infrastructure. The work significantly contributes to public management, establishing a foundation for future research and suggestions to enhance urban design in at-risk locations
