Use of a hypothetically optimal non-recursive digital smoothing filter for comparative study of signal denoising methods in analytical chemistry
Journal Title: International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Computational and Applied Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 21, Issue 1
Abstract
We developed a hypothetically optimal non-recursive digital smoothing filter which minimises the sum of the squared norms of the residuals (between true and smoothed signals) and of the smoothed noise. It has been proven theoretically that the optimal smoothing filter of constant and linear signals is the moving average filter. It was found that Savitzky - Goley and Fourier filters have near-optimal smoothing properties for the white and pink noises.
Prediction of Earthquake using F.E.M Techniques
This proposal deals with the use of Finite Element Method to model the EARTH as a WHOLE to predict Earthquakes on time- scale .Here the EARTH is considered as a whole and hence a change recorded at any place when applied...
NB Classifier Analysis among the Meteorological and Solar Activity Parameters
Climatologically approach is used to investigate the links between Solar and climate parameters between 1971-2000. We have plotted the cost benefit analysis curve between rainfall, temperature, sunspot number and geomagn...
Content Based Image Retrieval System with Feature Extraction and Recently Retrieved Image Library
One of the most important processes in image processing is image retrieval. The main process of image retrieval is retrieval of image from the database based on the query. Basically, retrieval is done based on low level...
Predictive Model for the Grading of Walnut Kernels by applying AdaBoost Classifier
AdaBoost classifier is one of the most widely used and accurate ensemble classifier. In this paper, a robust predictive model has been framed with the help of machine learning algorithms, for the grading of walnut kernel...
FRW-Cosmological Model with Variable Deceleration Parameter
We have studied homogenous and isotropic FRW space time with variable deceleration parameter. The deceleration parameter is assumed to be trigonometric of function of time. The cosmological model describes a unified expa...
