Use of E-Resources by Post Graduate Students of Health Science Institutions in Bengaluru: A Study

Abstract

This paper reports the extent to which e-resources are utilized by the academic community of health science institutions of Bengaluru. Besides, it aims to highlight the services offered by the Oxford Health science institution libraries and existence of various e-resources, access points of e-resources, Problems faced while accessing e-resources, purpose and frequency of accessing e-resources. A well-structured questionnaire was administered among post- graduate students of Pharmacy (M Pharm), Physiotherapy (MPT) and Nursing (MSc). The study finds that users are satisfied with the e-resources providing by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (HELINET consortia) and infrastructure facilities providing by the oxford Health Science institutions. Also, indicates major use of e-resources was pharmacy post graduate students with more than 70% and study suggest to enhancing the use of e-resources by educating the users.
