USE OF FRESH WATER IN PROCESSES OF PRODUCTION OF PULP AND PAPER PRODUCTS AND THE NEED TO REDUCE ITS CONSUMPTION

Abstract

The role of fresh water in the production of paper and paperboard is analyzed. The requirements for a set of indicators of the quality of fresh water are determined depending on the type of products produced in the industry. It is shown that the main trend in the pulp and paper industry is to reduce the specific consumption of fresh water per unit of commodity output.
