USES OF MEDICINAL VALUES OF ROSA DAMACENA MILL IN DENTISTRY–A REVIEW

Abstract
Out of 200 Rosaceae family members Rosa damascena mill L. is one of the most important. Eventhough they are being widely used as an ornamental plant and for perfuming effect they also known for their medicinal values. Since ancient times it’s being used as a medicine in traditional medicine. Based on lab analysis this plant species is having pharmacological effects such as antibacterial, anti inflammatory, antioxidant, hypnotic, anti diabetic, and relaxant effect on tracheal muscles. This article is a comprehensive review on the pharmacological effects of R. damascena in the dental perspective.
