УЗУАЛЬНІ ТА ОКАЗІОНАЛЬНІ ФРАЗЕОЛОГІЧНІ ОДИНИЦІ ЯК КЛЮЧОВІ КОМПОНЕНТИ ТЕКСТУ (НА МАТЕРІАЛІ ФІЛОСОФСЬКО-ПСИХОЛОГІЧНОГО РОМАНУ В. ВИННИЧЕНКА „ЛЕПРОЗОРІЙ”)

Abstract
Works by V. Vynnychenko are characterized by a combination of philosophical and conceptual themes and artistic genres, new for Ukrainian literature of the first half of the twentieth century. The writer provides adventurous, detective or utopian forms to the ideas of harmonious arrangement of the society, social inequality overcoming, postulating human as the highest value. All this is demonstrated in the novel „Leper colony” in particular. The most complete implementation of the author’s thoughts, displaying of personages’ individual character traits are provided by phraseological units, which function in the works in usual and in occasional form. The writer uses the different ways of transformation of phraseological units: violation of grammatical forms, using units with extended or truncated component composition, double actualization of phraseologisms, widened metaphor. This article analyzes the units that function in the first chapters of the novel. The expressive narrative pictures, created with the help of phraseological units and full of vivid images, outline basic interpersonal intrigue, as well as create an emotional background, preparing the reader for accepting the conceptual part of the novel.
