Vaccination Applications and Nursing Before and During The First World War

Abstract

Wars are events that cause people and societies to lose too much. In the past, soldiers had to fight against infectious diseases as well as militants. Especially during the First World War, soldiers also fought against infectious diseases such as flowers, typhoid, typhus, cholera, dysentery. In addition to hygiene and sanitation measures to protect against infectious diseases, it was also used in vaccination applications produced in accordance with the conditions of that period. The vaccination station was established for vaccination and military training. In addition to the soldiers, vaccination applications were also applied to wounded soldiers at primary care physicians, nurses and carers at that time. In order to protect the public from infectious diseases, vaccination applications were tried to be done. That time prejudices against vaccination were formed and in vaccine production too much vaccine production was not achieved and vaccination applications did not reach the intended rates
