Verbalization of Ordered Chaos: James Joyce and Andrei Bely
Journal Title: Науковий вісник Міжнародного гуманітарного університету. Серія «Філологія» - Year 2017, Vol 28, Issue
Abstract
The article studies J. Joyce’s and A. Bely’s word-making from the linguistic-synergetic perspective. It reveals their co-evolution by means of spatial simultaneity, involvement in the epochal cultural integrity, consistent individual-authorial punctuation, the effect of turbulence, musicalization of prose, and polyphony of simultaneous meaning. Bely orders chaos developing root-based associative word-making; Joyce advances deflected word form to dissipate the rhizomorphic space.
