VERTICAL TRANSMISSION OF HEPATITIS B AND C VIRUSES IN HIV-INFECTED PREGNANT WOMEN

Abstract
Th e work is devoted to the study of frequency and factors of vertical transmission of hepatitis B (HBV) and C (HCV) viruses from HIV-infected mother to child. Congenital HB has been diagnosed in 4.5%, and HC – in 9.1% of newborns who are not infected with HIV. HIV-positive status has been verifi ed in one child (1.5%) born to a mother with chronic hepatitis C and HIV-co-infection
