VHODNOSŤ POĽNOHOSPODÁRSKEJ KRAJINY PRE PESTOVANIE PLODÍN NA ENERGETICKÉ ÚČELY

Abstract
in recent years, the agricultural land in Slovakia has been used not only for food production but also for the cultivation of nontraditional crops, which can be grown for energy purposes. Effective search for the solution of the compromise between soil utilization for conventional agricultural production, or energy crops can help special-purpose cat egorization of agricultural landscape taking into account the interests of the society and the agricultural sector as well. in this respect, the informative system on the suitability of agricultural landscape and countryside of Slovakia for fast growing plants and herbs was developed. it turns out that in Slovakia there is enough suitable agricultural landscape for this purpose. This paper deals with categorization of agricultural landscape and countryside suitability for growing willow and poplar and eight kinds of herbs.
