Vibrations of a thin-shell structure constructed from orthotropic elastic non-closed cylindrical shells with free boundary generators

Abstract

The problems of existence of natural vibrations of an elastic orthotropic thin-shell structure constructed from circular non-closed infinite cylindrical shells with free boundary generators and an elastic orthotropic thin-shell structure constructed from circular non-closed finite cylindrical shells with free boundary generators, which have a Navier’s hinge on the boundary directional curves, are studied. The dispersion equations and asymptotic formulas are obtained for determining the natural frequencies of possible vibration types for the foregoing thin-shell structures.
