ВІДЧУЖЕННЯ ТА САМОТНІСТЬ ЯК ФОРМИ ПОВЕДІНКИ МАРГІНАЛЬНОГО ГЕРОЯ В РОМАНІ П. НІЗОНА «CANTO»

Abstract
The purpose of the article proposed is to study the state of alienation and loneliness as forms of behavior of a marginal hero in the novel "Canto" by P. Nyson, the Swiss German-speaking writer of the "new generation". The phenomenon of a marginal hero in the Swiss literature is currently unexplored in the modern native literary criticism, as well as the work of writers of the "new generation" in general, which indicates the topicality of the proposed topic. The problem of a marginal personality has long been of great interest for such humanities as philosophy, psychology and sociology. Therefore, it is quite logical that the basis of understanding of the very concept of "marginality" is in theoretical works of American sociologists Robert Park and Everet Stounkvist. It should be noted that, analyzing the state of a marginal personality, first of all, R. Park and E. Stounkvist concentrate on its inner world and define specific personal components that reflect the cultural conflict of a marginal, namely disorganization, feeling of inappropriateness, failure, restlessness, anxiety isolation, frustration, despair, mental disorganization, unstable identification, sense of absurdity of existence, egocentrism, alienation and loneliness. In the process of the analysis, we come to the conclusion that almost all of these characteristics are clearly traced as the main features of the protagonist character in the novel "Canto", who remains a stranger in a big city, doomed to complete and insoluble isolation and escape from himself and from others as well.
