Virtual Reality
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2014, Vol 2, Issue 9
Abstract
This paper is based on Virtual Reality which is also known as immersive multimedia and is related to computer generated images, sounds, etc. that appear real to the senses. It is used to describe applications commonly related with immersive, highly visual, 3D environments. It is used for practical purposes. This technology is based on computer and allows the user to interact in such a way that it is possible to treat an artificial environment as if it is the real. The basic multimedia elements of animation, imagery and sound combined together are used in this technology. Virtual reality environments are primarily visual experiences which are displayed on a computer screen or through special stereoscopic displays. Some simulations include additional sensory information, such as sound through speakers or headphones. It can be said as a way of replicating an environment and the user experiences a sense of taking control by interacting personally as actually being there. Our paper also describes the applications of virtual reality in various fields like manufacturing, lifelong learning and education, telemedicine, entertainment, business and healthcare.

Analysis of Spectrum Sensing Techniques for Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN): A Boon for Wireless Communication
Increasing demand of multimedia services requiring use of higher data rates and the overcrowding of the fixed spectrum has led to the concept of spectrum holes. The white spaces can be exploited by Cognitive Radio (CR)...
Battery Health Monitoring System with State Of Charge Estimation Using Artificial Neural Network
Today Battery is an essential component of all critical electrical systems. Battery stores chemical, not electricity. Two different lead in an acid mixture react to produce an electrical pressure. This electrochemical r...
Secret Image Sharing Using Quick-Response Code Generation Technique
Patent safety and verification have become increasingly more important in regular life. The digital watermark is one of the methods invented to handle this problem. In this paper, a digitally invisible watermark is inse...
Assessment of Groundwater potential zone using remote sensing and GIS, A case study in Nandhiyar sub basin, Tamilnadu, India
Groundwater is one of the greatest hidden natural resources of the earth’s crust. It has ubiquitous occurrence. The deformative forces and different earth processes depending upon the nature and composition of the rocks...
Cooperative Diversity: A Review
In recent times, because of factors such as signal multi path-propagation and fading the wireless transmissions are sev erely degraded. So in order to avoid such problems in ad-hoc network, cellular network, or WSNs, th...
