VIRTUALIZATION IMPACT ON COMSOL PROCESSOR DETECTION
Journal Title: Scientific Bulletin, Series: Electronics and Computer Science - Year 2015, Vol 15, Issue 2
Abstract
Running operating systems in a virtual environment is necessary to allow isolated systems to share the same hardware resources. The hypervisor handles the resource management and presents to the virtual operating system a user configurable hardware structure that can differ from the physical hardware structure. Some applications, like COMSOL Multiphysics, need to detect correctly the underlying hardware in order to obtain the best performance. This paper investigates how virtualized hardware to real hardware mapping affects the performance of the software running in a virtualized operating system.

A JAVA CLIENT SERVER APPLICATION FOR BUILDING BALANCED GROUPS
In this paper is described the way in which we can build balanced groups , each group being approximatelly equal (from the point of view of fulfilling certain criteria) with all other groups that can be formed from a pop...
IOT POWER CONSUMPTION MONITORING SYSTEM FOR OFFGRID HOUSEHOLDS
This paper represents a practical solution for a dynamic, affordable and flexible, power consumption monitoring system that is based on electrical sensors which are connected to the building’s own power grid. By using em...
SIMPLE DESIGN METHOD FOR MICROWAVE BAND-PASS FILTERS
In this paper, a simple method for designing and simulating low-frequency band-pass filters of around 1GHz is presented. In this aim, an original combination of three free software applications is proposed. It will be sh...
