Visual Knowledge Generation from Data Mining Patterns for Decision-Making
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2016, Vol 7, Issue 7
Abstract
The visual data mining based decision support systems had already been recognized in literature. It allows users analysing large information spaces to support complex decision-making. Prior research provides frameworks focused on simply representing extracted patterns. In this paper, we present a new model for visually generating knowledge from these patterns and communicating it for intelligent decision-making. To prove the practicality of the proposed model, it was applied in the medical field to fight against nosocomial infections in the intensive care units.

On Algebraic Spectrum of Ontology Evaluation
Ontology evaluation remains an important open problem in the area of its application. The ontology structure evaluation framework for benchmarking the internal graph structures was proposed. The framework was used in tra...
HIDING AN IMAGE INSIDE ANOTHER IMAGE USING VARIABLE-RATE STEGANOGRAPHY
A new algorithm is presented for hiding a secret image in the least significant bits of a cover image. The images used may be color or grayscale images. The number of bits used for hiding changes according to pixel neigh...
A Comparative Study of Classification Algorithms using Data Mining: Crime and Accidents in Denver City the USA
In the last five years, crime and accidents rates have increased in many cities of America. The advancement of new technologies can also lead to criminal misuse. In order to reduce incidents, there is a need to understan...
: An Approach to Improve the Representation of the User Model in the Web-Based
A major shortcoming of content-based approaches exists in the representation of the user model. Content-based approaches often employ term vectors to represent each user’s interest. In doing so, they ignore t...
A Novel Approach to Automatic Road-Accident Detection using Machine Vision Techniques
In this paper, a novel approach for automatic road accident detection is proposed. The approach is based on detecting damaged vehicles from footage received from surveillance cameras installed in roads and highways which...
