Visual modelling spacecraft motion
Journal Title: Технічна механіка, Техническая механика, Technical Mechanics - Year 2015, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
The development of the satellite decelerating large space debris objects by the ion beam shepherd is one of advanced ways for resolving the problem of low earth orbits debris. The development of a dynamic model of a similar satellite is conducted for the EU funded FP7 LEOSWEEP project. A special feature of this model is to use tools for visual modelling. The work objective is to create a model of the orbital and angular satellite motion and analyze the problems associated with its development by tools for visual modelling. The model of the satellite motion is developed considering disturbances due to earth’s non-central gravita-tional field, earth and lunar gravity, resistance due to atmosphere and solar radiation pressure. The approach to verification of similar models is proposed. Difficulties associated with visual modelling for realization of disturbance models and ways for obviating those difficulties are examined.

Mathematical modelling low-frequency dynamics of flow controller at various amplitudes of harmonic disturbance
A primary problem of mathematical modelling the low-frequency dynamic processes into a flow controller of a liquid rocket engine (LRE) is the construction of its linear mathematical model. This model forms a part of the...
Special Features of Algorithm for Active Control of Hydrodynamic Status of Tanks of Launch Ve-hicle
A rational approach to monitoring the hydrodynamic status (HDS) of the fuel tank (FT) of the launch vehi-cle (LV) as a basis of the active control of the fuel component (FC) gas content at the inlet of the liquid-propell...
On the determination of the tether length for an experimental elec-trodynamic system
The aim of this paper is to analyze the dependence of the tether length of a small experimental electrody-namic space tether system (EDSTS) without additional contactors required for the EDSTS operation in the anode-cath...
Coefficients of errors of stabilization of launch vehicle rotation motion
The research goal is to determine dependencies of errors factors for compensating a constant and ramp excitation on coefficients of motion equations, parameters of actuating and correcting devices considering a given sta...
Methodology for selecting rational material distribution for structural thin-walled elements
The work goal is to analyze the recent developments in the field of the methodology for selecting a rational distribution of the material for structural thin-walled elements. Based on the solution of the optimization pro...
