Abstract
The article based on the analysis of departmental regulatory legal acts regulating the activities of forensic institutions of Ukraine, identifies their main tasks and the relationship with the law enforcement system of Ukraine. The importance of forensic expertise for pre-trial investigation and ensuring justice in Ukraine has been determined.
