Abstract
Since the rough copy of F. de Saussure’s book De l’essence double du langage (On the Dual Essence of Language), written with the linguist’s own hand, has been discovered and published, we speak of a ‘new’ Saussure. The paper studies the reception of Saussure’s conception in Russian linguistics from the 1950-s up to now. The author analyzes publications concerning the views of Saussure in the journal ‘Voprosy Yazykoznaniya’ as the main discussion platform of Soviet and contemporary Russian linguistics.
