Abstract

The changes in the retail over the last period rank among the most important and the most apparent attributes of the contemporary globalisation. They are very well observable in the newly developing markets of the Central Europe, which currently rep - resent a place of a very harsh conflict of competing supranational commercial chains. The following paper deals with the current development of retail trade, intensive integration and concentration of business activities on the Slovak market. it is indicated by permeate of big supranational companies and this brings changes in the shopping behaviour of citizens.
