VYBRANÉ ASPEKTY KVALITY ŽIVOTA SENIOROV – TEORETICKÝ VSTUP DO PROBLEMATIKY

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze the theoretical basis of quality of life issue in the context of population ageing and to highlight the basic approaches to the identification of relevant indicators – indicators of the quality of life of seniors. Our partial aim is also a discussion of selected indicators of the senior ́s groups of Slovak population and their spatial differentiation at the level of districts. The paper is a theoretical base for the definition of indicators and subsequent implementation of empirical research with an aim to map regional differences in quality of life of seniors based on our comparison of selected indicators and comparison of the out- comes within the rural and the urban environment.
