Abstract

The author has proposed to solve some research problems for a landscape ecol - ogy along with other branches of applied ecology in Slovakia. Among these problems are dominant especially: relations and connections of ecosystems in the individual types of a landscape, landscape potentials, biodiversity of landscape, utilization of multiple func- tions of forest in the landscape, all factors of carrying capacity of the landscape types, all factors influencing the rational land use, a possible overloading of the landscape by man activities, conditions of a sustainable development of the territory or a sustainable life et cetera.
