Abstract
Current status: Power interests tend to be causes of armed conflicts, whose aim is to meet the interests of aggressors, fight for freedom, supremacy in regions, or others, that join efforts to oblige the enemy to submit to the will of the more powerful. War brings destruction, killing, violence, disruption of economy, environment, suppression of human rights and other negative symptoms, such as torture, looting, or other deviant manifestations of failure of human mind. Proposed solutions: As prevention, the deterrence of potential adversaries should serve. But as history shows such prevention is only poorly applicable in practice. War begins when preventive measures fail. Maintaining and rebuilding of peacekeeping become more difficult tasks, than solving heterogeneous conflicts by violence and war. The role of international law is to improve legal system, balance of forces of powers, regulation of hegemonic statuses, national regimes, limiting influence of interest groups, weakening positions of military industry, and prevent spreading of fear and hatred. Education about peace, discipline and emphasizing the cruelty of war and its unethical nature should prevail as a priority along with the pressure on media, which often spread propaganda materials, racial or other kind of intolerance and in accordance with their level support the worst that war is able to mine out of the human nature. Objectives: The objective becomes peace as a result of long-term development of humanism, along with assumption, that war shall be overcome by civilization development, coordination of doctrines and strengthening of key competences. Results: In research of issues of war and peace at present we come mostly to infringements, thereby doubting and contradictions in international law, principles of human society, the global superiority of various nations and groups and global instability.
