WAXD INVESTIGATION OF THE SECOND ORDER RESIDUAL STRESS INTO THREE HIGH ALLOYED STEELS
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2009, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
Mechanical processing like milling, polishing, grinding, etc generate internal residual stresses of the first order (macrostresses) at bulk level and of the second order (σ11) at the crystallite level. The paper addresses the σ11 depth profiles induced by milling and mechanical polishing in three high alloyed steel grades of AISI 316 types. These grades are used for implants manufacture. The σ11 depth profiles were used to select the proper mechanical regime related to steel grade in order to minimize cracks initiation and/or cracks propagation. These researches take part from a large project aimed to improve metallic implant manufacture technology.

A PARALLEL ALGORITHM FOR SOLVING TRIDIAGONAL LINEAR SYSTEMS
The coarse-grainded architecture model has been proposed to be a model of iently close existing parallel machines. Under this model we design a communication-efficient parallel algorithm for the solution of tridiagonal l...
SOME CONSEQUENCES OF THE BROWDER’S THEOREM IN HILBERT SPACES
This work deals with the Browder’s theorem in Hilbert spaces. One can remark that the theorems of Riesz, Stampacchia, and Lax-Milgram are consequences of the Browder’s theorem. Moreover in a vector space with a scalar pr...
FINITENESS PROPERTIES FOR THE PATH COALGEBRA ASSOCIATED TO A POSET
Let P be a partially ordered set (poset) locally finite and kQ the path coalgebra over a field k associated to P. In this paper we investigate finiteness properties of this coalgebra by using an injective morphism of coa...
ESTIMATES FOR e[sup]x[/sup]-(1+x/t)[sup]t[/sup] AND APPLICATIONS
The aim of this paper is to give a short proof of an inequality bounding ex-(1+x/t)t, stated in [1]. Also some improvements are given.
SOLVING THE SADDLE-POINT PROBLEM FOR THE QUASISTATIC CONTACT PROBLEMS
The paper is concerned with the numerical solution of the quasi-variational inequality modelling a contact problem with Coulomb friction. After discretization of the problem by mixed finite elements and with Lagrangian f...
