WAYS TO OPTIMIZE USE OF POTENTIAL REGION UNDER SELF-DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
Purpose – to explore the main ways of optimizing regional economic self-justify rates that must be considered when planning development. Methodology of research. To achieve this goal the article used: monographic analytical method – studied at the literature; system-analytical method – the study of legislative or other legal acts on local government, state regional development strategy for the period until 2020, the law on the promotion of regional development; abstract logical method – to summarize theoretical propositions, formulated conclusions and proposals. Findings. Considered and described methodological approaches to determine the socio-economic potential of the region. Characteristics of natural and ecological potential and its impact on the structure of the regional economy. The factors that have the greatest impact on self-development regions, and provided suggestions for the use of economic and mathematical methods for regional development planning. Originality is to improve the method of valuation of natural and economic potential of the region. In particular, indicators of economic potential and their relationship grouped in such a way that it provides an objective assessment of the region and use it as a basis for developing regional marketing strategies. Practical value is that the main provisions of the study in the form of scientific reports were provided to the Department of Regional Economic Development ODA Vinnytsia region and used in the formation of development plans for 2016.
