Abstract
The reviewed book by professor Andrzej Piasecki presents an overview of key events from the last one hundred years in the history of Poland in the form of a calendar. The author adopted an interesting approach – each year of independence is illustrated with a specifi c political, social or legal event, analysed in detail, sometimes also discussed in a broader context of global transformations.
