Wilson — Konovalov Disease: Diagnostic Algorithms and Approaches to Treatment

Abstract

Wilson — Konovalov disease is a hereditary disease characterized by progressive accumulation of copper, mainly affecting liver and brain. It is a rare disease and is often diagnosed on later stages, but it is now becoming more common. The article discusses the features of clinical symptoms, diagnostic algorithm for the diagnosis of Wilson — Konovalov disease. The points of treatment, prevention and prognosis are dwelt.
