Winter hardiness of winter barley varieties under variable climate parameters in the south of Ukraine

Abstract
The article presents the results of research on winter hardiness of winter barley varieties depending on the time of sowing under unstable climate parameters in the south of Ukraine. It was determined that delayed seeding increases the probability of the optimization of the soil moisture regime, but it is sure to worsen the thermal regime of the environment. Among the studied varieties of winter barley, the greatest prospects for the southern regions of Ukraine have the varieties Snihova Koroleva and Deviatyi Val due to the highest level of grain productivity and complex resistance to arid conditions of the growing zone.
