Wireless Embedded System for Power Line Monitoring
Journal Title: Bonfring International Journal of Power Systems and Integrated Circuits - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The present day power systems combine various modes of generation, transmission and conversion. There is no unique system of monitoring the power frequency, faulted switching condition or the conversion switching phenomena. Major issue is the continuous isolation required for the measuring equipments. This paper describes a simple method to implement a wireless embedded system to continuously monitor the RMS current through the power line. A low data rate ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4) based wireless transceiver is used for the wireless communication.

Shape and Size Dependent Electronic Properties of GaAs/AlGaAs Quantum Dots
We have theoretically investigated the effect of shape anisotropy and size on electronic structure of GaAs/AlGaAs quantum dots (QDs). The quantum dot is modeled by anisotropic parabolic confinement potential in the plane...
Fabrication and Characterization of High-Q Nano-Inductor for Power Electronics
This paper presents a high-Q MWCNT (Multi Wall Carbon Nano-Tube) network based pulse-shaped on-chip embedded nano-inductor for power electronic circuits. This high-Q inductor is fabricated using a composite of MWCNT (mul...
Three Phase Active Conditioner for Harmonics Mitigation
The Shunt Active Power Filter is a very essential tool to remove harmonic currents and to reimburse reactive power for nonlinear loads. The fundamental standard of process of a Shunt Active Power Filter is to introduce a...
Optimum Monochromatic Wavelengths for Solar Panel Testing and Conversion of Parameters to STC
Solar panels are one of the simplest devices to produce electricity from the sun. Even though the efficiency with which it harnesses energy from the sun is very less, its affordability and ease of use makes it a strong c...
