Wizerunek nauczyciela wczesnej edukacji w pedagogice Henryka Wernica

Abstract
The Author presents her second paper in the cycle “The early childhood education teacher in the Polish literature of the positivism”. It discusses the conception of home education given by HenrykWernic. The first part of the paper introduces to the Polish positivism circumstances. It presents the positivism as a social program and a publication movement, not a theoretical doctrine. The second part it is the biography of H. Wernic. The main analysis of the title problem is given in the third part of the paper. In his works, Wernic discusses basic professional requirements for a teacher as well as his/her knowledge and methodological skills. Wernic devotes also a lot of attention to issues related to human qualities of the home education teachers. Wrnic’s works provided a kind of handbooks for everyone engaged in the home education.
