Abstract
The World Journal of Medical Images, Videos and Cases has for the first time awarded the Certificates of Outstanding Contribution to Medicine. This year's laureates were editors of the Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial Therapy - the biggest and most renowned antimicrobial guide in the world - published in many languages globally. Two recent conferences are presented in brief: (i) 90 years of the Polish Society of Microbiologists (PTM) and (ii) 1st conference linking Medicine and Veterinary Medicine in Cracow.
