Właściwości mechaniczne kompozytów poliestrowo szklanych z przekładką typu sphereskin

Abstract
Paper compared mechanical properties of glass – polyester laminates with these of sandwich composites with sphereskin layer. The most important conclusions are: 1. The values of bending modulus of both materials are comparable. 2. In bending and toughness tests all laminate specimens fractured by exceeding the admissible normal stress. 3. In bending and toughness tests all sandwich composite specimens fractured by exceeding the admissible shearing stress. 4. The sphereskin sandwich layers of composite must be separated by glass mat or veil to improve shear strength.
