Wojskowy nadzór w sojuszniczej przestrzeni powietrznej. Misje Air Policing

Abstract

The paper discusses the purpose and implementation of the Air Policing missions, i.e. military surveillance of allied airspace. The authors present the basis of collective defence as described in Article 5 of the Washington Treaty as well as the main tasks of the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defence System. In addition, existing procedures of emergency response in case of violation of the Polish airspace by civil or military aircraft are presented.
