Historia chemii, jako dyscyplina naukowa na Wrocławskim Uniwersytecie, jest nierozerwalnie związana z wyjątkową osobą prof. Ignacego Siemiona. Profesor Siemion, naukowo i dydaktycznie zajmujący się chemią organiczną, a zwłaszcza chemią peptydów i białek, był fascynatem filozofii nauki oraz historii chemii. W dawnym gabinecie Profesora, jeszcze na VII piętrze Wydziału Chemii, stała szafa na ważne dokumenty, w której gromadził materiały historyczne, zdjęcia, ciekawostki.[...]
