Women Empowerment: A Comparative Analysis of Women Empowerment Working in Public and Private Organizations of Sargodha District

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to find out variations in socio economic empowerment between working women of public and private organizations.The locale of the current study was Sargodha district. Working women of private and public sector were taken as population of the research. The sample size was 200 working women equally from public and private sector.An Independent Sample t-test was applied to know whether there is significant difference in Household empowerment between women working in public organization and women working in private organizations. It was found that there is significant difference in Household empowerment between women working in public organization (M=6.23, SD=.514) and women working in private organizations (M=.063, SD=.694; t=179, p=.04). Then, there was insignificant difference in Social Empowerment of women working in public organizations (M=4.94, SD=.574) and women working in private organizations (M=.049, SD= .649; t=208.2, p=.07). Moreover, Results showed that there was significant difference in Economic empowerment of women working in public organization (M=-4.23, SD=1.06) and women working in private organizations (M=1.06, SD=.248; t=150.5, p=.00). Consequently, it was concluded that women who were working whether in public or private organizations were empowered any way but the variation in their empowerment is largely based on the type of organization they are working with, and areas they belong.
