Abstract
Artykuł nie zawiera abstraktu w języku polskim The aim of this article is to analyze the impact of commercial banks` policy on the financial mar- kets stability in Poland. This analysis leads to the conclusion that, despite the well-being of the Polish banking sector, lending and deposit banks policy should be conducted with caution. This is mainly due to the economic downturn and the ensuing increase in non-performing loans in bank portfolios. Moreover, the high share of foreign currency loans significantly reduces the impact of monetary policy instruments NBP on price of money in the economy, which is also worrying in the context of financial stability. The deterioration of the economic outlook and the continuing debt crisis in several European countries, poses a threat to the stability of the financial system in Poland.
