Abstract
The influence of social problems solving strategy on shaping the social policy of local governments. On the example of the city SieradzPresent social policy implemented in local governments must be based on di-agnosing social problems that happen there and adjusting them to changes that happen in the surroundings. Strategic managing is crucial in this situation and it is based on study, realization and monitoring assumed goals, which aim at removing or at least reducing social problems that might occur. Social prob-lems solving strategy plays basic role on the level of local managing. It defines the mission and sets the strategic goals and the actions that should help to solve many of social problems and reduce the social consequences of social matters, if they were to be implemented. Constant monitoring of executed tasks should also contribute to changing the local social policy.
