Współczesne poglądy na temat wykorzystania żelu bogatopłytkowego w ortopedii i traumatologii

Abstract
Zastosowanie czynników wzrostu w powiązaniu z inżynierią tkankową wydaje się być najbardziej obiecującą metodą w leczeniu uszkodzonych tkanek, kości oraz chrząstki. Czynniki wzrostu są cytokinami przenoszącymi sygnał procesów gojenia tkanek. Te małe peptydy są syntetyzowane przez komórki w miejscu uszkodzenia np.: komórki mezenchymalne zrębu i chondrocyty. Osocze bogatopłytkowe (PRP) jest nowym materiałem osteoindukcyjnym, którego zastosowanie w zaburzeniach gojenia tkanki kostnej stale się zwiększa. Aktywatorem dla PRP jest mieszanina trombiny z chlorkiem wapnia. Po połączeniu tych substancji powstaje żel bogatopłytkowy (PRG) i dochodzi do wydzielania z ich ziarnistości wielu substancji biologicznie czynnych np.: PDGF, TGF beta, IGF oraz EGF.Celem pracy jest przedstawienie aktualnej wiedzy na temat właściwości i możliwości zastosowania osocza bogatopłytkowego w leczeniu zaburzeń gojenia tkanek miękkich i kości.
