Wykorzystanie przestrzeni geograficznej Beskidu Małego dla rozwoju turystyki kulturowej w celu ochrony dziedzictwa krajobrazowego

Abstract
The article presents the cultural heritage of old and in addition forgotten agricultural-pastoral economy of the Little Beskid entwined in the landscape of the Polish Carpathians range. Abundance of natural and cultural qualities of this underexposed region qualifies it as an area of particular tourist interest in the Western Carpathians. Recognising of vanishing pastoral landscape and cultural qualities allows to preserve the old heritage of shepherds’ economy, thereby protecting it from commercialization of tourist services and contributing to the formation of local identity. Shepherds’ and agro-shepherds’ architecture found in the Little Beskid is referred to as a great ethnographic originality and, in the course of further research, can become a significant link in the project of cultural trail “Wallachian Trail” demonstrating interesting genesis of highlanders (górale) of the Carpathians range.
