Wymiar chrystologiczny prawnych obowiązków zakonników

Abstract
A relationship with Christ, the giver of vocation to living the evangelical counsels, is the foundation of monastic life in its spiritual dimension. It is an inseparable part of the life of the Church, which highly values this form of vocation fulfillment. The life of evangelical counsels, at a monastic institute, is sanctioned by the legislator in the Canonical Code of 1983. It contains regulations concerning, among others, the monastic aspect of life, with Christological dimension as its basis. The article brings up such subjects as: imitation of Christ in the Gospels and constitutions of the institute, prayer with the Word of God, worship of the Eucharist and the sacrament of penance in religious persons’ lives. The analysis of the abovementioned duties helps highlight the importance of the relationship with Christ in the religious life of each of the members and of the institute as a whole.
