Abstract
The paper provides short description of the XXXVII General Meeting of EuroGeoSurveys, Association of Geological Surveys of Europe, held on October 21–24, 2014, in Bern, Switzerland. A range of statutory issues has been discussed at the meeting and in particular, a request of the State Geological and Subsurface Survey of Ukraine (SGSSU) has been approved which concerns the set up of independent expert group for SGSSU assessment and recommendations for further development. Directors workshop at the meeting was dedicated to the living at geological risks including geohazards, and two field trips were organized by SwissTOPO, Geological Survey of Switzerland with regard to the issues of geological risks.
