Abstract
The transformation in the busi- nesses’ resources from tangible assets into intellectual capital is of critical importance for the establishment of new businesses, the restructuring of old ones and the way of fi- nancing their activities. Venture capital is used to finance startups and innovative businesses for several reasons discussed in this paper.
