Zanikanie perłówki siedmiogrodzkiej Melica transsilvanica Schur. w Sudetach polskich

Abstract
Disappearance of Melica transsilvanica Schur. in the Polish Sudetes Melica transsilvanica Schur. is a sub-Mediterranean species of subcontinental, Euro-West Asian range. In Poland it reaches the northern border of its distribution and occurs only on basic substrata in the Sudetes, Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, Pieniny, Gorce and Beskid Sądecki. In all, in the Sudetes and their foothills ca. 30 records of M. ciliata s.l. are known; for the sake of this paper we assumed the number of 29 (debatable records in the analyses are treated as one). The species was mainly associated with pioneer epilithic communities of the associations Alysso alyssoidis-Sedion and Alysso-Fectucion pallentis (the latter only in the Strzegomskie Hills and near Bardo), less often in shrub or fringe communities (Geranion sanguinei) in the neighbourhood of epilithic swards. During the studies after 2010 the species was recorded mainly in not-classed communities which develop in habitats of pioneer swards, often much disturbed as a result of anthropopressure and participation of nitrophile species, and in fringes (Geranion sanguinei) as well as shrubs (Berberidion). Since 2004 Melica transsilvanica Schur. is strictly legally protected in Poland. On the national scale it is not regarded as endangered, though it is included in the Red List (Kaźmierczakowa et al. 2016) in NT category – near threatened. Its condition in the Carpathians and the Sudetes is extremely different. In the Carpathians it is not threatened, in the Sudetes a breakdown of the local population is observed – the abundance in the Polish part of the Sudetes has decreased by ca. 80%. In this area it is now critically endangered.
