Zastosowanie tomografii wolumetrycznej w diagnostyce stomatologicznej

Abstract
Nowe technologie obrazowania radiologicznego dają nowe możliwości diagnostyczne dzięki czemu postępowanie kliniczne może być bardziej precyzyjne, przewidywalne i tym samym coraz bardziej bezpieczne. Badanie radiologiczne przy użyciu urządzeń do tomografii wolumetrycznej (CBTC) pozwala na obrazowanie badanych struktur twardych w trzech płaszczyznach. Korzyść wynikająca z badania to przede wszystkim ogromna ilość informacji, możliwość uzyskania dowolnych przekrojów w każdej płaszczyźnie, rekonstrukcje pseudotrójwymiarowe oraz możliwości zwymiarowania badanego obiektu.
