Zastosowanie trójwymiarowych hodowli komórek nerwowych w badaniach mechanizmów przebiegu chorób neurodegeneracyjnych

Abstract
Dwuwymiarowe (2D) hodowle komórek in vitro nie odzwierciedlają mikrośrodowiska tkanki i są coraz częściej zastępowane przez hodowle trójwymiarowe (3D). Podstawowe różnice między dwu- i trójwymiarowymi hodowlami wynikają z różnic w sposobie adhezji komórek do podłoża, ich rozprzestrzeniania, wzrostu, morfologii, proliferacji, różnicowania czy ekspresji genów i białek. Z tego względu hodowle trójwymiarowe znalazły szerokie zastosowanie w różnych dziedzinach nauki, takich jak farmakologia, onkologia, badaniach dotyczących różnicowania komórek czy neurobiologia. W pracy przedstawiono trójwymiarowe hodowle komórek nerwowych wykorzystywanych w badaniach dotyczących poznania mechanizmów patogenezy chorób neurodegeneracyjnych.
