Ziarnko gorczycy – pochodzenie, status i losy frazeologizmu w języku polskim

Abstract

The article is a linguistic microanalysis of the origins, status and history of a singlephraseological unit ziarnko gorczycy ( the mustard seed). It is classified thematicallyin the Polish language as a floristic set expression of Biblical origin. A detailed reporton this phraseologism is an opportunity to point out the rhetorical contexts of otherPolish Biblical expressions and their lexicographic descriptions. As a lexical unit thatrepresents a thematically specific phraseological group, ziarnko gorczycy allows foradditional linguistic and cultural research that points to the pictures of the Biblical worldentrenched in the Polish language.
