Znaczenie badań nad jakością życia w medycynie

Abstract
Termin ,,jakość życia’’ jest określeniem z pogranicza wielu dziedzin nauki, takich jak: filozofia, psychologia, socjologia, ekonomia oraz medycyna. W ujęciu medycznym jakość życia wiązana jest ściśle z fizycznymi, psychicznymi i społecznymi dziedzinami zdrowia, na które wpływają doświadczenia, wierzenia, oczekiwania i percepcja człowieka. Zmiana podejścia do chorych na bardziej holistyczne, spowodowała wzrost zainteresowania subiektywnymi odczuciami pacjenta, które dotyczą choroby, leczenia i problemów życiowych, które określane są ogólnie badaniem jakości życia. Dotyczą one satysfakcji z wyników leczenia, oceny funkcjonowania w sensie fizycznym i psychicznym, a także zdolności do pełnienia roli rodzinnej, społecznej i zawodowej. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie znaczenia badań nad jakością życia w medycynie. Badania jakości życia dostarczają danych na temat sytuacji chorego, pozwalają dostrzec problemy, których doświadcza i podejmować działania ukierunkowane na ich rozwiązanie.
