Abstract

Indonesia is an area prone to the occurrence of disasters, this can be caused by natural factors and human factors. Disasters that occur often cause the impact of material loss as well as loss of life. To minimize the losses from the occurrence of disasters it is necessary socialization of the community together in response to a threatening disaster. Therefore, this research will discuss the design of socialization media of disaster response for the people of District Semarang based on the 2D animation. The object of this research is the Regional Disaster Management Agency of District Semarang. This research uses qualitative methods and linear strategy, which contains the design of animation from the beginning to the final form of 2D animation video as a medium of disaster response socialization. The result is a disaster response socialization media presented in a 2D animation that contains information related to signs, prevention, and disaster management.

Abstract

Creative Economy as Entrepreneurship Material To Improve Student Entrepreneurship Motivation Faculty Of Art And Design Universitas Negeri Makassar. Indonesia has great creative economic potential, but the number of entrepreneurs is still very low, therefore, through art education, art and design students need to be fostered to become creative young entrepreneurs in the field of creative economy. To make this happen it is necessary to draft the module / entrepreneurial learning materials based on the type of business in the field of creative economy in accordance with the arts and culture, learning tools for entrepreneurship courses that can be used in the Faculty of Arts and Design based on creative industry with the type of business of art and culture, and make various media based on creative economy business by raising the profile of creative economy effort with local wisdom then elaborated become part of the module and learning device can create more young entrepreneurs in the creative economy. This research is qualitative applied to data analysis using Miles and Huberman plot. Creative industry materials that become the advantages of the module that is composed of various local businesses in the field of art and design, such as art goods market, art craft by lifting the craft from Tana Toraja and textile craft in the form of silk weaving from Wajo Regency. Performing arts by raising the potential of various art galleries in Makassar City. Art and design, as well as performing arts, are the two pillars of art and culture, so it is expected that the modules can be applied in the environment of the Faculty of Arts and Design in particular, and the Arts College in Indonesia in general.

Abstract

Sabbe Synthesist: The Basic Motif Development Discourse of Silk Sarong-Sengkang as the Identity and its Potency in the Creative Industry. Lipa’ Sabbe as called of silk sarong as the identity of Bugis-Wajo people, has been entrenched in the life of Sengkang people a long time ago, especially at Tosora at the beginning of its development. From a gedogan by walida (old loom) as traditional technic, till Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM, semi-modern loom) and Alat Tenun Mesin (ATM, modern loom) in the textile industry, represents an exploration of the development in society around toward the modernization; in its initial has a deep meaning as the life philosophy. Through a literacy and documental study and also participatory observation by three months in Lajokka, Tanasitolo, the silk yarn itself has been particularly influenced by India and Chinese about sixteenth century, and embodying oneself in Nusantara: in Palembang till cultivating in South Sulawesi (Bugis and Mandar) based on a local genius of historical human then having own-special character. The peculiarity in variety of the basic motif that has developed in such a way to respond the creative industry, in its position has reduced the basic value and meaning of lipa’ sabbe motif itself. The distribution stressing on speed production on the other, alters the weavers in Sengkang to only follow the market and the consumer desire without thinking more about the character of lipa’ sabbe in which during the time has held the primary potency in trade road before creative industry coming in. Thereby lipa’ sabbe as the identity of creativity needs a discourse analysis with social and cultural scrutinization in order to the creative economy development of the weavers, actuator, and observer of lipa’ sabbe, particularly in Sengkang as the one of the silk sarong center in Indonesia relating to the creative industry commodity.

Abstract

The sample of Local Clay Testing In order to Improve the quality of Traditional Pottery to Benamental Ceramic Glazed In Hamlet Sandi District Pattallassang Takalar District. This research is an effort to improve the quality of pottery into ceramic art by conducting various experiments on the application of glaze technique. Because the quality of local clay in the area around the pottery crafters is doubtful only for low burn (pottery) maximum of 800 °, it will be used some alternative raw materials of clay, such as clay from Pangkep regency and clay from Gowa regency estimated to be glazed with a high burn above 800 °. Another alternative is to mix the local clay from the craftsmen area with the clay from the outside with materials processing techniques to obtain soil material that is more plastic and resistant to the glaze. The main problem of the research is the art of pottery has survived for hundreds of years in Takalar District, but the quality improvement is so slow that it is less competitive in the national market and global market, another problem is that most artisans of more than 60% still survive by making traditional temporary pottery art the price of traditional pottery art is still very low. 11 local soil materials as research samples continued at the glazing stage with dyeing techniques using FT360 (transparent), 19I (blue), and 19 (white) glaze materials. Combustion is done with a continuous furnace made of fireproof stones using wood fuel (teak residue) and can be measured the burning temperature using pyrometer. The burning plan is carried out for 5 hours until it reaches 1100 °. The result of glaze burning generally shows that all glazed samples can survive at 1100 ° and melt glazes. The disadvantage is the glaze technique that has not been standardized to cause uneven glaze results, there are still many cracked (cracked) glaze surface. However, the glazed ceramic body has not changed even can remain stable, it's just that glaze technique needs to be improved in further research.

Abstract

Autodesk Software Integration On The Making Of Three Dimensional (Outdoor) Advertising For Students Of Visual Communication Design In The Faculty Of Art And Design Of Makassar State University Keywords: raw material, glaze technique, ceramic. Based on the observation about the students 'learning of Visual Communication Design the Faculty of Art and Design, it is mentioned that the students' ability in integrating the three dimension-based software and student communication related to market world is less fowering (Aswar: DKV-FSD lecturer) a study of communication design courses 2, and 3 odd level executed in a level final exhibition at the Visual Communication Design department (Kampus FSD-Parang tambung, January 2017), even one of the lecturers of FSD (Sofyan Salam: Professor of UNM in Education Fine Arts) who participated in the appreciation of the exhibition said that, students need to improve the competitiveness of products (packaging) in order to compete with the designers outside the campus. The conclusion of this training is that some students who lack the Autodest softwere in making outdoor advertising modeling, and most likely are indicated in the minimum time spent in training, the lack of completion of the ad concept assigned by the responsible lecturer, and the lack of completeness of the integrated computer device with the autodest softwere used in the outdoor advertising modeling process. Students who are given training are quite significant, because there is a connection with the final project planning, especially for students who want to make animation project and advertising three (3) dimensions.

Studi ini merupakan studi dasar untuk menemukan metode yang tepat untuk digunakan pada perancangan alat pembuat kemasan. Metode studi literatur digunakan untuk mengumpulkan seluruh informasi terkait metode, sistim dan teknis pencetakan yang sesuai dan dapat digunakan. Sehingga metode-metode dasar dari tulisan ini diharapkan dapat diterapkan pada rencana desain alat pembuat kemasan.

Abstract

Struktur Media Pembelajaran Dalam Perspektif Desain Komunikasi Visual. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk merancang/membuat prototype software media pembelajaran multimedia. Metodologi yang diterapkan adalah ‘metodologi riset desain’ yang mencakup tiga tahapan yaitu: analisis, sintesis, dan evaluasi. Pada proses analisa, dilakukan identifikasi dan analisa materi ajar setiap bagian materi ajar untuk menyesuaikan kompetensi standar, flow chart, story board, dan sketsa ide visual, serta identifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang berkaitan dengan teknik dan produksi media tersebut. Pada proses sintesa, dilakukan pembuatan model tampilan halaman dan komposisi rancangan grafis statis dan animasi pada layer-layer Adobe Flash, organisasi basis data, dan kompilasi basis data (interactive programming) untuk perancangan software system dengan menggunakan sistem sekuriti. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan uji coba/tayang dan verifikasi produk berdasarkan identifikasi masalah dan tujuan pembelajaran (kompetensi dasar yang diharapkan), yang selanjutnya dilakukan perbaikan/penyempurnaan perancangan grafis statis dan animasi sesuai rekomendasi/masukan dari hasil evaluasi. Manfaat hasil penelitian adalah mempermudah pengajar di Perguruan Tinggi dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap mata kuliah yang diampu, serta dapat pula dipergunakan oleh pihak-pihak yang membutuhkannya.

Abstract

Assessment Instrument Works of Fine Arts (Kriya Ceramics). The purpose of this study is to produce assessment instruments in art learning that can be used as a guide for assessment by teachers of art and culture in junior high. This type of research is development research. The flow of this research begins with analyzing the needs of teachers on artistic scoring techniques in junior high schools, planning research on the development of art assessment instruments, identifying types of artwork based on content standards, developing indicators of achievement based on basic competencies, determining the types of artworks created by assessment instruments, create a grid of assessment instruments, develop an assessment instrument. The technique of collecting data is done by observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. Data analysis was done by qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis technique. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is known that the assessment instrument developed in this study is a valuation instrument for the work of applied art of the local culture is the work of ceramic craft. The steps undertaken in developing assessment instruments are by looking at the curriculum, content standards, developing indicators of achievement, and composing instrument grids and developing assessment instruments.

Abstract

Abstract, Perancangan Company Profile Untuk Mempromosikan Program Studi Sastra Jepang Universitas Dian Nuswantoro. The Japanese Humanities of Dian Nuswantoro University is one of the majors which has earned an A accreditation value from BAN-PT. Various efforts undertaken by majors has resulted in various achievements worthy of pride. However, the results of these efforts are only known by the internal parties of Dian Nuswantoro University. Until now, the socialization of the Japanese Humanities majors and the achievements only published through brochures and websites, which the information is very general, so that the required specific media and expose the characteristics of this major's more detail. One of the proper media is company profile which is packaged in the form of interactive multimedia. Visualization company profile was designed with flat approach design to look simple, interesting, and messages delivered easily. Design concept overall used Japanese theme, in accordance with the characteristics of the majors. A company profile is published through a notebook device that can be presented in front of the academic community as well as outsiders who have a cooperative relationship with the majors. Through the design of this interactive multimedia based company profile, it is expected that the characteristics and achievements of the Japanese Humanities majors can be delivered briefly, clearly, and interestingly.

Abstract

The basic idea of this creation is the fading of the youth's concern for its cultural riches, with its vernacular typography as the subject and Sandeq Mandar's boat as a source of inspiration for creation. The method used is to redesign the working process of vernacular typography with iconic studies to showcase the uniqueness of the vernacular typography process as well as visual imagery of Sandeq boats in a typeface. Creation of typography inspired by vernacular typography is common, but typography creation that adapts the work process of writing the name of Sandeq Mandar boat has not been done so far. Based on creative ideas and attitudes, this creation tries to inspire young designers to feel the uniqueness of manually manipulated vernacular typography and Sandeq Mandar boat privilege as one of the cultural treasures of the archipelago. Through vernacular typography, young designers have the opportunity to train their craftsmanship and find new creative gaps in the world of design and typography, while through Sandeq boats, young designers are trained to care for the cultural riches of the archipelago and make it an inspiration to create communication design works visually. This creation is expected to add the scientific treasures of Visual Communication Design especially typography and affirm the ability of DKV science as a medium to preserve and preserve the cultural heritage of the archipelago especially Sandeq Mandar.

Abstract

If not managed properly, garbage will become one of the problems in densely populated settlements such as Denpasar City. Garbage causes environmental ecological damage, natural disasters, and even bring disease outbreaks for residents. The negative impact of such waste gives a view to the community that the waste only has a bad impact. However, if the garbage can be managed well and properly-facilitated by Bank Sampah spread in Denpasar city-result of garbage management can give economic value to a customer of Bank Sampah. This knowledge should be disseminated and understood by the community, to be a social and economic motivation for the community to participate in the prevention and mitigation of the negative impact of waste and garbage. In this research, the design of a public service video about Bank Sampah in Denpasar City based on the 2-dimensional animation. The 2-dimensional animation is chosen by the authors because it has advantages in conveying and explaining complicated information into a simpler form in the form of audio and visual media. From the results of research and analysis in the design of the video, the data obtained that the community provides a good response to video advertising service based on 2-dimensional animation, both in terms of information delivery, as well as the visual design of video about Bank Sampah in Denpasar.

Abstract

The process of learning art education as an effort to achieve the purpose of education takes place in a learning process to transfer knowledge closely with the content of aesthetics, artistic, attitude, and skills to learners in elementary school. The purpose of writing this article is to describe and explain the goals to be achieved, the function of various learning media, the nature achieved for students after learning to follow the process of teaching and learning, develop creativity of creating artworks to students, appreciate students' work, demonstrate the process of cultivating artwork by art teachers (visual art) and seen directly by students, develop creativity, and appreciate students' work. This article is a presentation of opinions and depictions of the state of the art education process in elementary school obtained with the results of observations which are then evaluated according to the reflection of the purpose of writing this article.

Abstract

The overall objective of the Application of Science, Technology and the Arts to the public through Learning Media Design with Applications Prezi is the School Teachers SMA Negeri 5 Makassar in general, can design media with attention to the following criteria; 1) The accuracy with teaching purposes. 2) The teaching materials are the facts, principles and easy to understand. 3) Media easily obtained at least easily made by teachers and financing affordable and easy to use. 4) The existence of teachers' skills in using it. And 5) Available time to use it. The problem-solving method is to make the activities in the form of Application Workshop for Science, Technology and the Arts to the public through Learning Media Design with Applications Prezi, the material of which include; 1) Material lecture about the design of instructional media. 2) The practice of making learning media by using Prezi app offline and online with direct guidance. 3) Discussion and Q of discussing technical issues of instructional media design and application. This activity resulted in an increase in knowledge, in designing learning media effects and the ability to create compelling presentations with less using Prezi application. Related results of the workshop, the school management is very keen to work together as partners in the next time that the objectives to be achieved in realizing the vision and mission of the school can be done well.

Abstract

Abdul Kahar Wahid has a name in the field of painting (art) in Indonesia proved with one of his works collected by the National Gallery in Jakarta. In South Sulawesi, he is known as a painter and art educator. It is appropriate that Abdul Kahar Wahid is used as one of the artists who become objects in the subject of Local Arts Studies. The purpose of this research is to complete the video program about Abdul Kahar Wahid that has been made before, by adding comments and testimony from artists and art educators and at the same time validating it. This research is conducted through Research and Development procedure, with field trial. Research development in education is a process for developing and validating educational products including materials and procedures and processes such as; teaching methods, learning management and including learning media. The sample of this study consists of students of Arts Education Studies Program Postgraduate Program of UNM Makassar Batch 2016 consists of 15 people, from students of Art Education Program (S1) 25 people. The results showed that the quality of video display showed a high percentage in both categories and excellent in all fields, such as the readability of text/writing very well (53%.) While the quality of presentation of the material, good and excellent category in all fields, and clarity of purpose learning is very good (53%) and ease of understanding material is good (60%). The product of this research deserves to be used as material and media of art learning especially for the subject of Local Art Study.
